Double-Sided Prop Banknotes (AUD): Why Both Sides Matter on Set

A note that is blank or wrong on the back gives itself away. Here is when double-sided printing earns its keep.

Double-sided $20 and $50 specimen prop banknotes

Specimen

Double-sided prop banknotes cost slightly more to make, and they pay for themselves the first time a note is flipped on camera.

Where both sides matter: - **Counting scenes**, where the back is visible as notes are fanned. - **Handoffs**, where a note is turned over in a hand. - **Close-ups** at 4K, where a blank back is obvious.

PROPPS notes are printed on both sides in high definition and carry specimen markings throughout. See the New Notes range for every denomination.

Double-sided printing also helps with continuity. When an actor turns a note over between takes, the back should match from one take to the next, and a printed reverse makes that automatic. It is a small detail, but it is one of the first things a close-up or a freeze-frame exposes, and it is the difference between a note that reads as real on screen and one that does not.
